Applicants with a PhD degree not yet awarded at the deadline can apply but must obtain their PhD by 31 December 2017 at the latest and the fellowship cannot start before the PhD is officially conferred

Other Important Requirements Requirement of mobility between countries Applicants must: have at least 1 first author (or joint first) English publication in press or published in an international peer reviewed journal at the deadline have not spent more than 12 months in the proposed host country at the earliest start date of the fellowship not have started their current work in the proposed host institution or host country prior to the earliest start date of the fellowship not apply to the country where PhD was obtained not apply to the country of nationality
